We recommend that once or twice a year fresh poop and toilet paper that have fallen from the conveyor be moved to an adjacent spot. See diagrams. Add water if dry.
Then the pile can be covered with plastic to trap moisture in. Invertebrates need water to survive and eat organic matter. By moving it away, covering it, it decomposes without fresh waste falling on it, or having the plastic sheet pooped on.
