Regarding the logistics for removal of solids, how many people does it take to lift and pack out the decomposed solids?

We received this question during a recent webinar and thought it would be helpful to discuss here.

This job can be done with one person. I did a pilot project with smith rock state park in Oregon in the mid 2020’s. I shovelled and packed out 400 lbs of decomposed human waste in a 4 hour period. I used garbage bags, double bagged, 4

0lbs each garbage bag. That was 6 or so years of collected decomposed solids from about 50,000 -100,000 uses.
